American Legion - Moon Brothers Lodge

• Memorial Day Parade (in conjunction with the City of Independence). Every Memorial Day at 10:30. Parade starts at Independence Fire District Station #1.
• Flag Day - An honorable US Flag Retirement Ceremony is held at Sterling Staggs Park every Flag Day (June 14). The American Legion Moon Brothers Post 275 conducts this solemn ceremony every Flag Day at 7pm.

Independence Farmers' Market

• The market is open every Saturday in May through October from 8:30am - 1:00pm

Kenton County Farm Tour

• The Kenton County Farm Tour is a self-guided tour offering behind-the-scenes views into the farms of Kenton County. Most of the farms are located in Southern Kenton County and the event is held every September.
