Memorial Park
Memorial Park, located at 2001 Jack Woods Parkway in Independence, Kentucky, is the city's flagship park, spanning over 26 acres. Established in 2004, it serves as a central hub for community recreation and major city events. Managed by the City of Independence Parks and Recreation Department, the park offers a variety of amenities and hosts some of the city's largest annual celebrations. Named to honor reflection and remembrance, it features the Donna Yeager Amphitheater, named after a former mayor who significantly contributed to the city's parks and recreation programs.

A family-friendly playground designed for children, encouraging physical activity and social interaction
Sports Facilities
Includes basketball courts, three pickleball courts, and a multi-purpose utility field for soccer and other sports. There is a 1/4 mile walking and running track around the utility field.
Walking Trails
A 0.2-mile scenic walking route, perfect for leisurely strolls or light exercise. Brisges and steps have been provided by local scout troops for Eagle Projects.
Shelters
A reservable shelter with grills, ideal for picnics, birthday parties, graduation parties, and other social gatherings.
Donna Yeager Amphitheater
An outdoor venue used for concerts, movie nights, and community events.
Green Spaces
Open areas for picnics, relaxation, and casual recreation. Walking trails are through the woods.
